Description

This gingerbread orange layer dessert with vanilla pudding, gingerbread, and fresh oranges is a Christmas treat, prepared in the Thermomix®. The dessert is ready in 90 minutes and yields 4 servings. Ideal as a festive dessert for the whole family in the winter season. The preparation takes about 30 minutes.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 Pck. Vanilla pudding powder
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 3 EL Sugar
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 1 TL Gingerbread spice
  • 400 g Gingerbread
  • 5 Oranges

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare pudding

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/194°F/Speed 3 90

Add 500 ml Milk and 3 tbsp Sugar to the mixing bowl. Add 1 package Vanilla pudding powder and cook for 8 min./90°C/speed 3 without measuring cup. Then transfer and let cool slightly.

Whip cream until stiff

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Speed 3.5

Add 200 g Whipped cream to the mixing bowl and whisk until stiff with the butterfly for 2 min./speed 3.5. Remove butterfly and transfer cream.

Refine pudding

Carefully fold the whipped cream and 1 tsp Gingerbread spice into the cooled pudding.

Prepare gingerbread

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Coarsely crumble 400 g Gingerbread. Either by hand or briefly chop in the mixing bowl for 3 sec./speed 4. Transfer.

Prepare oranges

Fillet 5 Oranges, collecting the juice and mixing it with the crumbled gingerbread.

Layer dessert

Layer dessert in 4 glasses: cream, gingerbread-orange mixture, orange fillets, cream. Garnish with orange fillets and gingerbread.

Chill

Let the finished dessert chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
