Description

This festive layered Christmas dessert with gingerbread and orange is a sweet treat that is quick to prepare in the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are chocolate-covered gingerbread, mascarpone, quark and oranges. With a preparation time of 35 minutes (plus chilling time), the recipe yields 6 servings. Ideal as a light dessert for Christmas or other festive occasions.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 200 g chocolate-covered gingerbread
  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 50 g Quark
  • 3 EL Milk
  • 2 EL Cointreau
  • 2 Stück Organic oranges
  • 5 EL Sugar
  • 1 Stück Vanilla bean
  • 100 g Milk chocolate
  • 50 g Hazelnut brittle

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop gingerbread

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Coarsely crumble 200 g of chocolate-covered gingerbread and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 sec/speed 5 and transfer.

Prepare cream

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Place 250 g mascarpone, 50 g quark, 3 tbsp milk and 2 tbsp Cointreau in the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec/speed 3.

Prepare oranges

Wash 2 organic oranges with hot water and rub dry. Zest one orange with a kitchen grater. Peel both oranges and fillet them. Cut orange fillets into small pieces.

Mix oranges into the cream

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add orange fillets, orange zest and 5 tbsp sugar to the cream in the mixing bowl. Stir in for 10 sec/Reverse/speed 2.

Add vanilla

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Scrape out the pulp of a vanilla bean and add to the mixing bowl. Stir in for 5 sec/Reverse/speed 2.

Layer lasagna

Put ⅓ of the gingerbread crumbs in a baking dish (approx. 25 x 20 x 5 cm), spread ⅓ of the cream on top. Fill the mold with 2 more layers.

Chill

Refrigerate the gingerbread lasagna for about 2 hours.

Grate chocolate

Place 100 g milk chocolate, in pieces, in the mixing bowl and grate for 5 sec/speed 8.

Decorate and serve

Sprinkle the grated chocolate and 50 g hazelnut brittle over the gingerbread lasagna just before serving.
