Description

This double ground meat burger with cheese is a hearty and quick dish, ideal for student cuisine. With just a few ingredients and a short preparation time, it is perfect for a quick bite in between. The recipe is easy to prepare and provides a filling meal. The preparation is partly done in the Thermomix®.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 200 g Ground beef with high fat content
  • 1 Burger Bun Brioche
  • 2 Scheibe/n Cheddar young and old
  • 1 EL Oil
  • 2 EL Butter
  • 1 Pickle(s)
  • 0.5 Onion(s)
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onion

Thermomix® Setting

Put half an onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté onion

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 tbsp oil to the chopped onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Prepare burger buns

Melt 2 tbsp butter in a pan over medium heat. Halve the burger buns (brioche) and toast the inside in the butter until golden brown. Then remove from the pan and set aside.

Fry ground meat

Form 200 g of ground beef with a high fat content into thin patties in a hot pan and sear sharply on both sides. Season with salt and pepper.

Melt cheese

Top the fried ground meat patties with 2 slices of Cheddar (young and old) and let the cheese melt. This can be done either in the pan with the lid closed or briefly under the grill in the oven.

Top burger

Spread the bottom burger halves with mustard and ketchup. Slice the pickles and spread them on the burger halves. Place the ground meat patties with the melted cheese on top and cover with the top burger halves.
