Description

Elbow macaroni in creamy ham leek sauce is a hearty and quick main course from the Thermomix®. With elbow macaroni, leek, cooked ham and cream, this dish is prepared in just 20 minutes. The recipe makes 4 servings and is ideal for student kitchens or as an uncomplicated family meal. The simple preparation in the Thermomix® guarantees the success of the dish.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 350 g Elbow macaroni
  • 2 Stangen Leek
  • 200 g Cooked ham
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 200 ml Whole milk
  • 1 EL Butter
  • 1 EL Neutral vegetable oil
  • 2 TL Granulated broth
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • Parmesan or Emmentaler

Preparation (8 steps)

Cook pasta

Cook 350 g elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted water according to the package instructions. In the meantime, continue with the next steps.

Prepare leek

Clean 2 leeks and cut into approx. 1 cm thick, diagonal strips. Set aside.

Dice ham

Cut 200 g cooked ham into cubes. Set aside.

Sauté leek

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Put 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp neutral vegetable oil in the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Then add the sliced leek and sauté for another 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Add 200 ml cream (30% fat) and 200 ml whole milk (3.5% fat) to the mixing bowl. Add 2 tsp granulated broth and simmer for 5 min./90°C/speed 2.

Add ham

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add the ham cubes to the mixing bowl and stir in for 2 min./90°C/Reverse/speed 1 and continue to simmer.

Season sauce

Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve

Serve the sauce with the cooked pasta or mix directly with the pasta. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or Emmentaler as desired.
