Description

Beef slices with paprika is a comforting and tasty dish, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I often prepare it for a quick weekday dinner because it is both simple and delicious. The beef, cut into thin strips, is seared in a pan and then coated in a creamy sauce with paprika and cognac. The mild paprika adds a warm and slightly smoky touch, while the cognac enhances the flavors of the meat. This dish is ideal to accompany fresh pasta, rice or potatoes. A real treat for the whole family!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g of beef (for fondue)
  • 300 ml of water
  • 50 ml of cognac
  • 2 c. à c. of paprika
  • 1 c. à s. of oil
  • 1 piece onion
  • 8 c. à c. of veal stock
  • 2 c. à s. of thick fresh cream

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparation of the onion

Peel an onion and cut it into four. Put the onion in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

Cooking of the onion

Add 1 tbsp of oil to the Thermomix bowl. Sauté the chopped onion for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the veal stock

Dilute 8 tsp of veal stock in 300 ml of hot water. Set aside.

Cooking the meat

Cut 500 g of beef (for fondue) into strips. In a pan, heat the oil and quickly sauté the meat strips. Set aside.

Preparation of the sauce

7 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Sprinkle the cooked onion in the Thermomix with 2 tsp of paprika, add 50 ml of cognac, the water with the veal stock and 2 tbsp of thick fresh cream. Let it reduce for 7 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Finalization of the dish

2 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Once the sauce has taken on a thicker texture, return the beef strips to the Thermomix bowl and let it warm up for 2 Min./90°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.
