Description

This Thermomix® recipe for turkey strips with pineapple is a quick and hearty main course with turkey, pineapple, cream, and leek. Prepared in just 30 minutes, it yields 4 servings. The dish is ideal for a quick family meal and lovers of Asian-inspired cuisine. Preparation in the Thermomix® reduces the working time to about 20 minutes.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g Turkey cutlets or turkey breast fillet (preferably organic)
  • 250 g Cream
  • 150 ml Poultry broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 Stück Onion, small
  • 150 g Leek
  • 140 g Pineapple chunks from a can (drained weight)
  • 2 EL Vegetable oil, neutral
  • 2 EL Creme fraiche
  • 1 EL Soy sauce
  • 1 TL Sugar, brown
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Black pepper from the mill

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparing the Meat

Cut 500 g turkey cutlets or turkey breast fillet (preferably organic) into strips and lightly salt. Perform this step outside the Thermomix.

Preparing the Onion and Leek

Peel 1 small onion, halve it and cut into thin slices. Clean 150 g leek and cut into fine slices. Perform this step outside the Thermomix.

Sautéing the Meat

Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the turkey strips over high heat for about 1-2 minutes. Season with black pepper from the mill, remove from the pan and set aside. Perform this step outside the Thermomix.

Sautéing the Onions and Leek

Briefly heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in the same pan and add the onions and leek, sprinkle with 1 tsp brown sugar and sauté for about 2 minutes. Perform this step outside the Thermomix.

Deglazing with Broth

Add 150 ml poultry or vegetable broth and 1 tbsp pineapple juice from the can to the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 3 min./100°C/speed 1.

Adding the Remaining Ingredients

Add 250 g cream, 2 tbsp creme fraiche, 140 g (drained weight) drained pineapple chunks from the can, and the sautéed turkey strips to the mixing bowl. Season with 1-2 tbsp soy sauce, salt, and black pepper from the mill.

Simmering

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Gentle stir speed 90 Reverse

Let everything simmer for 5 Min./90°C/speed soft/Reverse.

Seasoning and Serving

Taste everything again and season further as desired. If necessary/desired, thicken the sauce with some cornstarch or sauce thickener. Then serve.
