Description

This Asian noodle salad with Chinese cabbage is a refreshing and quick dish, ideal for warm days. The combination of instant noodles, crunchy Chinese cabbage, roasted sunflower seeds and almonds provides an interesting texture and a delicious taste. The dish is prepared in just 20 minutes and is perfect as a main course or side dish. The use of instant noodles also makes it an inexpensive option.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Yum Yum Noodles Chicken Flavour
  • 1 piece Chinese cabbage, large
  • 60 g Sunflower seeds
  • 100 g Almonds (slivered)
  • 50 ml Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare dressing

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 50 ml olive oil, 4 tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp salt and pepper and the spices from the instant noodle bags to the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3 until the sugar has dissolved.

Cut Chinese cabbage

Cut 1 large Chinese cabbage into fine strips and set aside.

Prepare instant noodles

Crumble 2 packs of instant noodles with your hands and place in a large bowl. Add the prepared dressing to the noodles and mix. Then add the sliced Chinese cabbage and mix well.

Roast almonds and sunflower seeds

Roast 60 g sunflower seeds and 100 g almonds in a pan without oil until lightly browned. Then add to the salad and mix.

Season and serve

Season the salad with salt and pepper and serve.
