Description

These savoury tuna swirls are a delicious and easy-to-prepare snack, perfect for an impromptu aperitif or a buffet. The crunchy puff pastry encloses a creamy and flavourful filling made from tuna and fresh cheese. I often prepare them when I have dinner guests and they always disappear in the blink of an eye! Preparation is really quick, especially with the help of our trusted Thermomix®. You can vary the filling by adding chopped olives, capers or fresh aromatic herbs. Serve them hot to best appreciate their fragrance and goodness. Also ideal for a Sunday brunch!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1 rotolo rectangular puff pastry
  • 100 g canned tuna
  • 100 g spreadable cheese
  • pepper
  • 1 tuorli egg yolk

Filling preparation

Thermomix® Setting
10 Sec./Speed 4

Place 100 g of drained canned tuna, 100 g of spreadable cheese and pepper to taste into the Thermomix bowl and mix for 10 Sec./Speed 4.

Puff pastry preparation

Roll out 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry on a work surface and cut it into three strips widthwise.

Filling and rolling

Spread the filling prepared earlier on one of the long sides of each rectangle of puff pastry. Roll the pastry around the filling, creating three small logs.

Brushing and cutting

Brush the logs with 1 beaten egg yolk. Cut the logs to create rolls about 3 cm thick.

Baking in the oven

Arrange the rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper, spaced apart. Bake in a preheated fan oven at 180°C for 20 minutes.

Serve the savoury tuna swirls hot and fragrant!
