Description

This recipe for nut corners is a delicious pastry that is especially popular during the Christmas season. The dough is prepared in the Thermomix® and spread with an apricot jam. The topping consists of butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, water, ground and chopped hazelnuts. The preparation time is about 50 minutes.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 225 gr Flour
  • 17 gr Baking powder
  • 97 gr Sugar
  • 1.5 P Vanilla sugar
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 97 gr Cold margarine
  • 3 EL Apricot marmalade
  • 150 gr Butter
  • 150 gr Sugar
  • 1.5 P Vanilla sugar
  • 3 G8 Water
  • 150 gr Ground hazelnuts
  • 150 gr Chopped hazelnuts

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 225g flour, 17g baking powder, 97g sugar, 1 1/2 packets of vanilla sugar, 2 eggs and 97g cold margarine to the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading level to a smooth dough.

Chill and roll out dough

Chill the dough a little. Then roll out on a floured work surface to a rectangle of 32 x 24 cm.

Spread dough

Spread the rolled out dough with 3 tbsp apricot marmalade.

Prepare topping

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/122°F/Speed 2 122°F

Add 150g butter, 150g sugar and 1 1/2 packets of vanilla sugar to the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min./50°C/level 2.

Add liquid

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Speed 3

Slowly heat 3 tbsp water and add together with 150g ground hazelnuts and 150g chopped hazelnuts to the mixing bowl and stir for 1 min./level 3.

Spread topping

Spread the topping on the dough covered with apricot marmalade.

Bake nut corners

Bake the dough in a preheated oven at 175-200°C for 20-30 minutes.
