Description

This intense chocolate fondant recipe is a real treat for all chocolate lovers! I've been making these little cakes for some time and they are always a hit. The preparation is very simple and quick, especially with the Thermomix®. The fondant is nice and runny on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside – simply irresistible. Perfect as a dessert for a romantic dinner for two or just when you want to treat yourself to something special. A touch of dark cocoa enhances the aroma. It tastes best warm, straight from the oven. If you like, you can serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 50 g of flour
  • 2 c. à c. of bitter cocoa or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 piece egg yolk
  • 60 g of sugar
  • 50 g of butter
  • 50 g of dark chocolate

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare ingredients

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease two small ovenproof molds (approx. 8 cm diameter) with butter and dust with flour.

Melt chocolate and butter

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Place 50 g chocolate and 50 g butter in pieces in the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min./50°C/speed 2.

Add more ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 60 g sugar, 1 egg and 1 egg yolk and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Mix in flour and cocoa

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 3

Add 50 g flour and 2 tsp cocoa and stir in for 15 sec./speed 3. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula and mix for another 5 sec./speed 3 if necessary.

Fill dough into molds and bake

Divide the dough evenly between the prepared molds and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. The baking time may vary depending on the oven. The core should still be slightly liquid.

Serve

Let the fondants cool slightly and carefully turn them out of the molds. Serve immediately.
