Description

These kiwis stuffed with chocolate mousse are an original and delicious dessert, perfect for impressing your guests or simply for treating yourself. The chocolate mousse, prepared with the Thermomix®, is incredibly smooth and light. The acidity of the kiwis goes perfectly with the richness of the chocolate, creating a perfect balance in the mouth. I have been preparing this dessert for years and it is always a sensation. It's a great way to use seasonal kiwis and enjoy a guilt-free chocolate treat. Feel free to vary the pleasures by adding a few orange zest to the mousse or decorating the kiwis with chocolate shavings.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 150 g Chocolate
  • 3 piece Eggs
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 6 piece Kiwis
  • 1 pinch Salt

Preparation (9 steps)

Melted chocolate

3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Break 150 g of chocolate into pieces and put them in the Thermomix bowl. Melt for 3 Min./50°C/Stufe 2.

Separation of eggs

While the chocolate is melting, separate the whites from the yolks of 3 eggs. Set aside the whites in a clean, dry container.

Chocolate-egg yolks mixture

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add the 3 egg yolks and 75 g of sugar to the melted chocolate in the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 3.

Egg whites

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Speed 3.5

Insert the whisk into the Thermomix bowl. Add 1 pinch of salt to the reserved egg whites and whisk until stiff for 3 Min./Stufe 3.5.

Incorporation of egg whites

Remove the whisk. Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, lifting the mixture well with a spatula. Pour the mousse into a salad bowl and set aside.

Preparation of kiwis

Peel the 6 kiwis to 2/3 of their height, cut off the top and hollow them out with a teaspoon.

Kiwis garnish

Fill the hollowed kiwis with chocolate mousse and place them in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Kiwis coulis

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 8

Put the flesh of the hollowed kiwis in the Thermomix bowl and mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 8 until a smooth coulis is obtained.

Service

Serve the kiwis with chocolate mousse chilled, accompanied by kiwis coulis.
