Description

This chocolate fondue is an absolute classic and always a highlight, whether for a cozy evening for two or as the crowning finale of a festive dinner. The combination of delicately melting chocolate and fresh fruit is simply irresistible. I especially like to make it with a mixture of dark and whole milk couverture, refined with a dash of orange juice for a fruity note. The preparation is very simple and quick, so you can concentrate on enjoying it. Grapes, bananas, apples or strawberries are perfect for dipping - there are no limits to your imagination!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 200 g Bittersweet Couverture
  • 100 g Whole Milk Couverture
  • 250 g Whipping Cream
  • 30 ml Orange Juice
  • 400 g Fruit (e.g. Grapes, Bananas, Apples or Strawberries)

Preparation (4 steps)

Chop chocolate

Thermomix® Setting

Break 200g bittersweet couverture and 100g whole milk couverture into pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 sec./speed 5.

Melt chocolate

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Add 250g whipping cream and 30ml orange juice and melt for 5 min./50°C/speed 2.

Keep chocolate fondue warm

Pour the chocolate mixture into a fondue pot and keep warm on a warmer.

Prepare fruit

Wash, clean and cut 400g fruit (e.g. grapes, bananas, apples or strawberries) into bite-sized pieces. Serve in small bowls with the fondue.
