Description

This fruity curry sauce is a real all-rounder and goes perfectly with many dishes! I especially like to make it when things need to be quick, because it is ready in a few minutes. The pineapple provides a pleasant sweetness and the spices give the sauce a nice flavor. It tastes delicious with fried chicken, tofu, rice or even steamed vegetables. If you like it a little spicier, you can simply add a pinch more of chilli powder. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received by us!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 200 g Pineapple (canned)
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Curry powder
  • 1 pinch Ginger powder
  • 1 pinch Chili powder
  • 150 ml Cream
  • 80 ml Pineapple juice (liquid from the can)
  • 1 Msp. Salt

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare pineapple

Cut 200 g of pineapple (from the can) into small pieces and set aside.

Sauté pineapple

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 1 tsp of oil to the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Add the chopped pineapple and sauté for 2 min./120°C/speed 1 without the measuring cup.

Season and Simmer

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 2 90

Add 2 tsp of curry powder, 1 pinch of ginger powder and 1 pinch of chili powder and sauté for 1 min./100°C/speed 1. Then add 150 ml of cream and 80 ml of pineapple juice (liquid from the can). Season with 1 pinch of salt and simmer for 5 min./90°C/speed 2.

Serve

Serve the curry sauce with fried chicken, steamed vegetables and/or rice.
