Description

This hearty noodle and ground meat casserole is a savory main course for the whole family. With crème fraîche, processed cheese and vegetables, it is easy to prepare and very filling. The preparation time is about 50 minutes and is enough for 6 servings. Ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 150 g Crème fraîche
  • 350 g Ground meat
  • 1.5 Stück Onions
  • 200 g Noodles
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 1.5 Stück Bell peppers
  • 150 ml Tomatoes
  • 1 Becher Corn
  • 1 Becher Mushrooms
  • Cheese, grated
  • 70 g Processed cheese

Preparation (9 steps)

Cook noodles

Cook 450 g noodles according to the package instructions in a separate pot and drain.

Heat milk and processed cheese

Put 450 ml milk into the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./90°C/speed 2. Add 200 g processed cheese and melt for 2 min./60°C/speed 2.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add 450 g crème fraîche to the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec./speed 3. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cooked noodles and mix for 20 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Fry ground meat

Fry 1 kg ground meat in a separate pan and season with salt and pepper.

Prepare onions and peppers

Peel and halve 5 onions. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid, insert the fine slice and pass the onion halves through the slicer. Catch the sliced onions. Clean, core and also cut 3 bell peppers into fine strips with the WunderSlicer V2 and the fine slice. Catch the pepper strips.

Sauté vegetables

Put the sliced onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Add the pepper strips and sauté for 2 min./120°C/speed 1.

Finish vegetables

2 min/212°F/Linkslauf/Speed 1 212°F Reverse

Add 1 can of tomatoes (drained weight), 2 cans of corn (drained weight) and 2 cans of mushrooms (drained weight) to the mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Heat for 2 min./100°C/reverse/speed 1.

Layer casserole

Preheat the oven to 210°C. Grease a casserole dish with some oil. Alternate layers of noodles, ground meat and vegetables in the casserole dish.

Bake casserole

Sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and bake for about 20-25 minutes at 210°C until the cheese is golden brown.
