Description

These chocolate-orange biscuits are a delicious pastry for the winter season and especially suitable for Christmas. The shortcrust pastry is refined with cocoa and orange sugar and filled with a creamy chocolate cream filling. Preparation takes about 2 hours, including chilling times. Ideal as a dessert or finger food for festive occasions.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 250 g Flour, universal Type 480
  • 200 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 5 EL Cocoa powder
  • 1 TL Orange sugar
  • 2 Stück Egg yolk
  • 250 ml Whipping cream
  • 200 g Orange chocolate 55%

Preparation (7 steps)

Boil chocolate and cream

Thermomix® Setting

Add 250 ml whipping cream and 200g orange chocolate to the mixing bowl and bring to the boil, stirring constantly, for 5 min./100°C/speed 2.

Chill chocolate mixture

Let the chocolate mixture cool and chill completely in the refrigerator.

Prepare shortcrust pastry

2 min/Kneading speed

Add 250g flour, 200g butter, 100g sugar, 5 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp orange sugar and 2 egg yolks to the mixing bowl and process for 2 min./kneading stage to form a shortcrust pastry.

Chill dough

Let the shortcrust pastry rest in the refrigerator for one hour.

Bake biscuits

Cut out the shortcrust pastry and bake at 170°C for about 10 minutes.

Whip cream-chocolate mixture

Thermomix® Setting
Speed 3

Briefly whip the cream-chocolate mixture with the butterfly on speed 3.

Fill and decorate biscuits

Fill two biscuits each with the cream-chocolate mixture. Cover with glaze and decorate.
