Description

This soft pumpkin and chocolate cake is a real autumnal comfort food! The grated raw pumpkin gives it incredible moisture and a delicate flavour, while the chocolate chips add a sweet touch. The recipe is very simple and quick to prepare with the Thermomix®, perfect for breakfast or a snack. I often prepare it when I have guests at home, because it is always a success! It keeps well for several days, maintaining its softness. Try it, you won't regret it!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 3 piece eggs
  • 150 g white sugar
  • 100 ml sunflower or corn seed oil
  • 200 g raw pumpkin
  • 125 g white yogurt
  • 300 g flour
  • 16 g baking powder
  • 125 g chocolate chips
  • 2 ml orange flavour vial
  • 50 g corn starch

Preparation (5 steps)

Eggs and sugar in the bowl

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Insert the eggs and sugar into the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Adding pumpkin, oil and yogurt

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Add the grated raw pumpkin, sunflower or corn seed oil and white yogurt into the bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 4.

Flour, yeast and starch

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Add the flour, baking powder and corn starch into the bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 4.

Chocolate chips and aroma

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add the chocolate chips and orange aroma into the bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2.

Baking in the oven

Pour the mixture into a greased and floured cake tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes. Do the toothpick test to check for doneness.
