Description

This Garam Masala flavored chicken is a dish rich in flavors and aromas, perfect for a spicy and comforting dinner. The tender meat, wrapped in a creamy and aromatic sauce, is a true pleasure for the palate. I often prepare it when I want an ethnic dish that is quick and easy to make. The secret lies in balancing the spices well and cooking the chicken over low heat to enhance its flavor. Ideal to serve with basmati rice or naan bread, this dish is an explosion of flavor that will conquer everyone! It is prepared in about an hour and is perfect for a dinner with friends or family.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 200 g Onions
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger powder
  • 400 g Ready tomato pulp
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 30 ml Extra virgin olive oil (EVO)
  • 20 g Clarified butter
  • 20 g Coriander
  • 125 ml Water
  • 60 ml Water

Preparation (9 steps)

Preparation of the onions

200g of onions in the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5. With the help of the spatula, collect the chopped mixture on the bottom of the bowl.

Sauté the onions

Add 30ml of extra virgin olive oil to the bowl and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Addition of spices

Add 1 minced clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of ginger powder, 1 pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric and 1 teaspoon of coriander powder to the bowl. Sauté for 2 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Addition of tomatoes

Add 400g of ready tomato pulp to the bowl and mix for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the chicken

Cut 500g of chicken breast into cubes and pass them in the garam masala so that they are completely covered.

Initial cooking of the chicken

In a pan, heat 20g of clarified butter and brown the chicken cubes for about 5 minutes, until they are golden brown on all sides.

Final cooking of the chicken in the Thermomix

Add the browned chicken to the bowl, add 125ml of water and cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Cooking without lid

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Remove the lid and cook for another 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Final addition of water and garam masala

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add 60ml of water, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of garam masala and 20g of chopped coriander leaves. Cover the bowl and cook for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.
