Description

Glazed apples with chocolate coating are a festive dessert from the Thermomix® that is ideal as a winter snack. The main ingredients are small red apples, sugar, pomegranate syrup, apple vinegar and white chocolate. The recipe is vegetarian and yields 4 servings. The preparation time is a total of 150 minutes, of which 45 minutes are active working time. Perfect for special occasions or as a sweet treat in between.

  • 4 Stück small red apples
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 7 EL Pomegranate syrup
  • 1 TL Apple vinegar
  • 150 g white chocolate
  • 30 ml Water
  • 200 ml Water

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare apples

Thoroughly wash four small red apples and rub dry. Remove the stems and insert thick wooden barbecue skewers. Prepare baking paper.

Prepare sugar syrup

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add 300 g sugar, 7 tbsp pomegranate syrup and 1 tsp apple vinegar to the mixing bowl. Add 30 ml water and bring to the boil for 8 min./100°C/speed 2 without the measuring cup.

Glaze apples

Remove the mixing bowl from the Thermomix and turn the apples one after the other in the syrup until they are completely covered with sugar syrup. Then place the glazed apples on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Let glaze dry

Let the glazed apples dry completely on the baking sheet. This takes about 1 hour.

Melt chocolate

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/122°F/Speed 1 50

Roughly chop 150 g white chocolate with a knife. Place the chopped chocolate in a heat-resistant bowl. Add 200 ml water to the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./50°C/speed 1. Place the bowl with the chocolate on the mixing bowl and let the chocolate melt in the water bath. Stir occasionally.

Cover apples with chocolate

Once the apples have dried, pour the melted chocolate into a bowl. Dip a third of the apples into the melted chocolate and place them back on the baking tray lined with baking paper.

Let chocolate dry

Let the chocolate-covered apples dry completely. This takes about 30 minutes.
