Description

This golden spiced granola is a delightful way to start your day or enjoy as a healthy snack. I've been making this recipe for years, and it's always a hit! The combination of rolled oats, bran flakes, almonds, and mixed seeds creates a satisfying crunch, while the turmeric and ginger add a warm, aromatic spice. The maple syrup and coconut oil provide a touch of sweetness and richness. It's perfect for sprinkling over yogurt, adding to smoothies, or simply enjoying by the handful. This granola is also great for meal prepping and will keep for up to two weeks in an airtight container.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 100 g bran flakes
  • 75 g flaked almonds
  • 100 g mixed seeds
  • 130 g raisin & nut mix
  • 1.5 tsp ground turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 100 ml coconut oil
  • 125 ml maple syrup
  • 1 piece egg white

Preparation (7 steps)

Combine dry ingredients

Add 200g rolled oats, 100g bran flakes, 75g flaked almonds, 100g mixed seeds, 130g raisin & nut mix, 1½ tsp ground turmeric, and ½ tsp ground ginger to a large heatproof bowl. Mix well using your hands to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Melt coconut oil and maple syrup

Add 100ml coconut oil and 125ml maple syrup to the mixing bowl. Heat for 2 Min./50°C/Stufe 2 until the coconut oil is melted and the mixture is well combined.

Combine wet and dry ingredients

Pour the melted coconut oil and maple syrup mixture over the dry ingredients in the bowl. Stir well to ensure all the dry ingredients are evenly coated.

Whisk egg white

In a separate bowl, whisk 1 egg white until foamy and slightly thickened.

Incorporate egg white

Pour the whisked egg white over the granola mixture and stir again to combine thoroughly. This will help create clusters during baking.

Bake the granola

Preheat oven to 140°C/120°C fan/gas 1. Tip the granola onto a large baking sheet lined with baking parchment and press down gently using a spatula. Bake for 1 hour, turning the tray around halfway through to ensure even baking.

Cool and store

Leave the granola to cool completely on the tray before breaking it into clusters. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
