Description

This creamy rigatoni casserole with ham and mushrooms is prepared in the Thermomix®. Main ingredients are ground beef, cooked ham, mushrooms, strained tomatoes and cream. The preparation time is 85 minutes for 4 servings. This hearty dish is ideal as a warm main course for the whole family.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 2 klein Onions
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 1 EL Olive oil
  • 250 g Ground beef
  • 500 g Tomatoes, strained
  • 250 g Cream
  • 150 g Cooked ham
  • 200 g Mushrooms
  • 360 g Rigatoni
  • 250 g Mozzarella
  • 1.5 TL, gehäuft Herbs, Italian
  • 1 TL, gestr. Cayenne pepper
  • 1.5 TL, gestr. Salt
  • 1 Pepper, freshly ground

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onions and garlic

Put 2 small onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sauté onions

Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the onions and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Chop garlic

Put 4 cloves of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 7. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sauté garlic

Add garlic to the onions and sauté for 1 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare sauce

30 min/212°F/Gentle stir speed 212°F

Fry 250g ground beef in a separate pan until crumbly. Slice 200g mushrooms and fry in the pan with the ground beef. Add 500g strained tomatoes, 250g cream, 1.5 tsp heaped Italian herbs, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1.5 tsp salt and freshly ground pepper to the mixing bowl. Add the fried ground beef and mushrooms. Simmer for 30 min./100°C/gentle stir setting.

Add ham

Add 150g diced cooked ham and season again.

Cook rigatoni

Cook 360g rigatoni in salted water until al dente (approx. 5 minutes in an external pot). Drain and place in a large casserole dish.

Finish casserole

Pour sauce over the rigatoni and sprinkle 250g diced mozzarella over it. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 30 minutes. Finally, turn on the oven grill and brown the cheese until golden brown.
