Description

Apple and milk rice baked in a casserole.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 900 ml Whole milk
  • 300 g Apples
  • 200 g Milk rice
  • 100 g Cream
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 2 Päckchen Bourbon Vanilla Sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 40 g Raisins

Preparation (7 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan assisted. Alternatively, top/bottom heat 200°C.

Prepare apples

Peel, quarter, core and cut the apples into approx. 2 cm cubes.

Fill casserole dish

Place the apple cubes in an ovenproof casserole dish. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and raisins (optional).

Add milk rice

Add the uncooked milk rice, whole milk and cream to the casserole dish.

Bake casserole

Mix all ingredients well in the casserole dish. Seal the casserole dish tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and bake on the middle rack in the preheated oven for 75 min.

Resting time in the oven

After the baking time, stir the milk rice casserole well or let it rest in the switched-off oven for another 10 minutes.

Serve

Serve the casserole with cinnamon sugar as desired.
