Description

This hearty sweet potato chicken goulash from the Thermomix® is an autumnal main course with chicken, sweet potatoes, tomatoes and curry. Prepared in 45 minutes, the recipe yields 6 servings. Ideal as a family meal or for lovers of hearty cuisine. The working time is approx. 15 minutes.

Ingredients (16 ingredients)

  • 20 g Oil
  • 200 g Onions, halved
  • 2 piece Garlic cloves
  • 400 g Chopped tomatoes, from the can
  • 50 g Tomato paste
  • 2 tsp Curry
  • 10 g Vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp Nutmeg
  • 500 g Sweet potatoes, diced (3 cm)
  • 350 g Water
  • 1 piece Bay leaf, dried
  • 650 g Chicken breast fillet, skinless, in pieces (4 cm)
  • 70 g Plums, dried, pitted, in strips
  • 10 g Chives, in fine rolls, for garnish

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions and garlic

Put onions and garlic into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sauté onions and garlic

Add oil and sauté for 5 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add tomatoes, spices and vinegar

Add tomatoes, tomato paste, curry, vinegar or apple cider vinegar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix for 5 sec./speed 5 and scrape down with the spatula.

Sear meat

Sear chicken breast fillet in a separate pan.

Add sweet potatoes, water, bay leaf, chicken and plums and cook
