Description

This lentil stew with chicken and vegetables is a comforting and nutritious dish, perfect for the colder days. The combination of lentils, tender chicken and fresh vegetables creates a delicious and balanced flavour. It is a recipe that I often make at home, because it is easy to prepare and everyone loves it. It is also an excellent way to incorporate legumes into the diet. It can be prepared in advance and reheated, which makes it an ideal option for weekday meals. A complete and tasty dish that you will love!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 100 gramos Boneless chicken thigh
  • 150 gramos Lentils
  • 2 pieza Carrot
  • 1 pieza Potato
  • 1 pieza Ripe tomato
  • 0.5 pieza Green pepper
  • 0.5 pieza Onion
  • 1 pinch Ground cumin
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Ground black pepper
  • 1 chorro Olive oil
  • 650 mililitros Water

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare the chicken

Cut the boneless chicken thigh into medium pieces. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Sauté the chicken

In a frying pan, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Brown the chicken pieces for about 5 minutes, until sealed on all sides. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Chop the onion and pepper

Cut the onion and green pepper into medium pieces. Place the onion and pepper in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 sec./Stufe 5.

Sauté the onion and pepper

Add a splash of olive oil to the Thermomix bowl. Sauté the onion and pepper for 4 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the tomato

Peel and cut the ripe tomato into small pieces. Add the tomato to the Thermomix bowl along with a pinch of salt, pepper and ground cumin. Cook for 4 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Crush the vegetables

30 Seg./Speed 8

Add a little water to the Thermomix bowl and crush the vegetables for 30 Seg./Stufe 8. Lower the remains of the walls of the glass with the spatula.

Add the carrots

Peel and cut the carrots into slices. Add the carrots to the Thermomix bowl.

Add the lentils and water

Wash and drain the lentils. Add the lentils to the Thermomix bowl. Cover with 650 ml of water and add a little more salt. Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the potatoes

15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Peel and cut the potatoes into medium wedges. Add the potatoes to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the chicken

10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the reserved chicken to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.
