Description

This Hungarian goulash from the Thermomix® is a hearty main course with beef, peppers and onions. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 120 minutes, of which 30 minutes are active working time. The recipe yields 6 servings and is ideal as a warming family meal on cold days. The use of the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2 makes the preparation of the ingredients easier. The category is soup.

  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 2 Stück red Peppers
  • 700 g Beef cubes (e.g. from the shoulder)
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 5 dl Bouillon
  • 2 dl Red wine
  • 1 TL Caraway, ground
  • 1 TL Marjoram, dried
  • 0.5 TL Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 150 g Crème fraîche

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop onions

Peel and halve the onions. Place the onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onions

Add oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare peppers

Quarter the peppers, core them and place them on the mixing bowl lid with the WunderSlicer V2 and the fine disc. Cut peppers into the mixing bowl. Alternatively, cut the peppers into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Fry meat

Fry the meat in portions in a separate pan and set aside.

Add tomato paste and peppers

Add tomato paste and peppers (from step 3) to the mixing bowl and sauté for 2 min./120°C/speed 1.

Deglaze with liquid

Deglaze with bouillon and red wine. Add caraway, marjoram, salt and pepper.

Add meat and simmer

Add the fried meat (from step 4) to the mixing bowl and simmer for 60 min./100°C/reverse speed 1. Leave the measuring cup in place.

Stir in crème fraîche

Add crème fraîche and stir in for 5 sec./speed 3.

Season and serve

Season the goulash with salt and pepper and serve.
