Description

These savory ground meat rolls are a great alternative to classic kebab and super easy to prepare in the oven. The ground meat, refined with yogurt and aromatic spices, is rolled in baking paper and baked juicy. I like to make them for parties or as a quick dinner. They taste warm and cold and can be prepared well in advance. If you like it spicier, you can add a little more chili. An absolute must for all meat lovers!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 600 g Ground meat (e.g. half lamb, half beef)
  • 1 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • Chili flakes
  • 4 piece Baking paper cutouts

2

Prepare ground meat

Put 600 g ground meat (half lamb, half beef), 1 tbsp yogurt, 1 tsp sweet paprika, 1 tsp ground pepper, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp cumin and chili flakes as desired in a bowl. Add the chopped onion and knead everything thoroughly with your hands.

3

Roll out ground meat

Put 1/3 of the ground meat on a sheet of baking paper, place another sheet on top and roll out very flat with a rolling pin. Remove the top baking paper.

4

Roll up ground meat

Roll up the rolled out meat together with the lower baking paper and place on a deep baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining ground meat.

5

Bake ground meat rolls

Bake the ground meat rolls in the preheated oven (top/bottom heat: 200 °C) for 20 minutes. Then carefully remove from the baking paper and cut into the typical strips.
