Description

This gyros soup is a hearty main course for 4 people. The gyros meat is fried in a pan and mixed with cream. The soup is prepared with onion soup, paprika, Romani sauce, chili sauce and corn. The preparation time is about 20 minutes, plus the cooling time overnight. Ideal for a hearty lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 500 g ready seasoned gyros meat
  • 500 ml Cream
  • 1 Paket Onion soup
  • 1 piece red paprika
  • 1 piece green paprika
  • 400 ml Romani sauce
  • 3 tbsp Chili sauce
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 can Corn

Preparation (7 steps)

Fry meat

Fry the gyros meat in a separate pan until it is cooked. Set aside.

Prepare onion soup

Prepare the onion soup according to the package instructions.

Mix cream and meat

Add 500 ml of cream to the meat in the pan and mix. Refrigerate overnight.

Chop paprika

Cut 1 red and green paprika each into pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 seconds/speed 5.

Cook paprika

Add the prepared onion soup and the chopped paprika to the mixing bowl and cook for 5 minutes/100°C/speed 1.

Add remaining ingredients

Add 400 ml Romani sauce, 3 tbsp chili sauce, 500 ml water and 1 can of corn to the mixing bowl and mix with the gyros cream mixture. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes/100°C/speed 1.

Season and serve

Season the soup and serve with bread rolls or baguette. Refine with herb butter as desired.
