Description

This chicken in teriyaki sauce is a dish that I often prepare when I want something tasty and quick. Homemade teriyaki sauce is the key to an authentic and delicious flavor. The chicken meat, tender and juicy, goes perfectly with the sweetness and savoriness of the sauce. Ideal for a family dinner or with friends, this dish is a real hit. Serve it with basmati rice for a complete and satisfying meal. The preparation is simple and the result is guaranteed!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken thighs and drumsticks
  • 150 ml Soy sauce
  • 50 ml Mirin (sweet sake)
  • 50 ml Chinese rice wine
  • 2 tbsp Cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Chicken preparation

Debone the chicken thighs, remove the fattest part and any residual fluff. Cut the skin so that it does not retract too much.

Brown the chicken in a pan

Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and brown the meat on both sides for about 10 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Preparation of the marinade

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

In the Thermomix bowl, pour the soy sauce, mirin, Chinese rice wine and cane sugar. Mix well for 20 Sec./Stufe 3.

Cooking the teriyaki sauce

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/Varoma/Speed 2 Varoma

Remove excess fat from the pan where you browned the chicken. Pour the soy sauce-based solution into the Thermomix bowl and cook for 15 Min./Varoma/Stufe 2 without the measuring cup, to reduce the sauce.

Final cooking of the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the browned chicken to the teriyaki sauce in the Thermomix bowl. Wet the chicken with the sauce several times during cooking. Leave to cook for about another 15 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.

Slice and serve

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/Varoma/Speed 2 Varoma

Slice the chicken once cooked and let the sauce reduce a little more in the bowl for 5 Min./Varoma/Stufe 2 without the measuring cup. Serve the chicken on a bed of basmati rice cooked by absorption and drizzled with teriyaki sauce.
