Description

These homemade white bread rolls are a classic that never fails. The recipe is simple and the result is a soft and fluffy bread, perfect for breakfast or to accompany any meal. I make them often and they are always a hit. The key is to let the dough rest long enough for the yeast to do its magic. Go ahead and prepare them, you will love them! They are ideal for making sandwiches or simply to enjoy with a little olive oil and salt. Also, they are an excellent option for those who prefer to avoid industrial breads.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 250 gr wheat flour
  • 5 gr dry yeast
  • 2 gr salt
  • 150 ml water

Prepare the yeast

Heat 150 ml of water in the microwave until it is lukewarm. Pour the lukewarm water into the Thermomix bowl. Add 5 g of dry yeast and a pinch of sugar. Mix 20 sec./Stufe 2. Let stand for 15 minutes to activate the yeast.

Mix the ingredients

Add 250 g of wheat flour and 2 g of salt to the Thermomix bowl. Mix 2 Min./Knetstufe.

Knead the dough

Remove the dough from the Thermomix bowl and place it on a clean, lightly floured surface. Knead by hand for 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

First rising

Place the dough in a bowl previously greased with oil. Cover with a damp cloth and let stand in a warm place for 3 hours, or until the dough has doubled in volume.

Second kneading

After 3 hours, knead the dough again for 5 minutes to remove the air.

Shape the rolls

Shape the rolls as desired and make a cross in the center of each roll. Arrange the rolls on a floured baking tray.

Bake the rolls

Preheat the oven to 200°C for 15 minutes. Lower the temperature to 190°C and put the tray in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.

Cool and serve

Let the rolls cool on a wire rack before serving. They can be kept for several days in a container with a lid.
