Description

These homemade flour tortillas are a delight to accompany any dish. The recipe is very simple and with the Thermomix® it is prepared in the blink of an eye. The dough is soft and elastic, perfect for stretching and cooking in the pan. I often make them for tacos, burritos or simply to spread with a little cheese or guacamole. They are much tastier than the store-bought ones and you also know exactly what ingredients they contain. Go ahead and prepare them, you will love them! You can fill them with meat, vegetables or whatever you like best. They are ideal for a quick and delicious dinner!

Ingredients (3 ingredients)

  • 250 gramos flour
  • 180 centímetros cúbicos warm water
  • 2 cucharadas soperas olive oil

Preparation of the dough

Thermomix® Setting

Place the flour, warm water and olive oil in the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 3 Min./Knead setting until a smooth and soft dough is obtained.

Resting the dough

Remove the dough from the bowl, form a ball and place it in a bowl. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Division and second rest

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Form balls with each portion and place them on a floured surface. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Stretch the dough

With a rolling pin, stretch each ball until you get a very thin, almost transparent tortilla. Sprinkle flour on the work surface to prevent it from sticking.

Cook the tortillas

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat. Brush the pan with olive oil. Cook each tortilla for approximately 1 minute on each side, or until they begin to puff up and brown slightly. Reserve the cooked tortillas on a plate or tray covered with a cloth to keep them moist and elastic.
