Description

This hearty croquette gratin with minced meat is an absolute family favourite! I like to make it when I need to be quick and everyone needs to be full. The minced meat is nicely seasoned with tomato paste, chopped tomatoes and sour cream. The frozen croquettes form a great base and the grated cheese provides a delicious crust. Perfect for a cosy evening or as a way to use up leftovers. The dish can be easily varied with other vegetables or spices. A hearty delight that simply makes you happy!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 400 g Ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 500 g Croquettes - frozen
  • 400 g Chopped tomatoes
  • 100 g Sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Parsley - chopped
  • 100 g Grated cheese
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Put onion and garlic clove into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. If necessary, scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Prepare minced meat

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat. Fry the minced meat in a pan with oil. Add the onion and garlic and fry briefly. Stir in the tomato paste and sauté briefly. Stir in chopped tomatoes, sour cream and parsley and season everything with salt and pepper.

Put minced meat sauce in baking dish

Pour the minced meat sauce into a baking dish and cover with the frozen croquettes.

Bake gratin

Sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
