Description

This hearty ground meat stew is an absolute hit for any party! I've been making it for years and it's always a hit. The ground meat is nicely browned and combined with onions, garlic, bell peppers, tomatoes and pineapple for a fruity and hearty taste experience. The slight spiciness of the chili sauce provides that certain kick. The addition of cream makes the stew particularly creamy. Ideal for cooking in advance and warming up – perfect for larger groups or just for cozy evenings!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Ground meat
  • 500 g Onions
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 3 piece Bell peppers, green
  • 2 can Tomatoes (à 875 g)
  • 1 Flasche Tomato ketchup
  • 1 Flasche Paprika sauce Hungarian style
  • 0.5 Flasche Chili sauce
  • 2 can Corn
  • 1 Lorbeerblätter Bay leaves
  • 2 cube Broth
  • 250 ml Red wine
  • 500 ml Sweet cream
  • 1 can Pineapple (875g)

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onions and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Put 500 g onions in coarse pieces and 2 cloves of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté onions and garlic

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Leave the chopped onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Brown ground meat

Brown 1 kg of ground meat in a separate pan and then add to the mixing bowl.

Chop bell pepper

Thermomix® Setting
4 sec/Speed 4

Put 3 green bell peppers in pieces in the mixing bowl and chop for 4 sec./speed 4. Push down with the spatula.

Add more ingredients

Add the chopped bell pepper, 2 cans of tomatoes (à 875 g), 1 bottle of tomato ketchup, 1 bottle of paprika sauce Hungarian style, 0.5 bottle of chili sauce, 2 cans of corn, 1 can of pineapple (875g), 1 bay leaf and 2 cubes of broth to the mixing bowl.

Deglaze and cook

25 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 250 ml red wine and 500 ml water (or more, depending on the desired consistency) to the mixing bowl. Cook everything for 25 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add cream

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 1 Linkslauf 90 Reverse

Add 500 ml sweet cream and stir in for 5 min./90°C/speed 1 reverse. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
