Description

This hearty swede soup with smoked meat is real soul food for cold days! I especially like to cook it in winter when the vegetables are in season. The smoked meat gives the soup a strong taste that harmonizes wonderfully with the sweetness of the swede and pears. The long cooking time ensures that all the flavors blend perfectly. Jacket potatoes go perfectly with it. A hearty dish for the whole family that warms and satisfies!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Smoked pork shoulder
  • 1 piece Streaky bacon
  • 4 piece Cabbage sausages
  • 500 g Smoked ribs
  • 1 kg Swedes
  • 8 Wurzel Roots
  • 1 Stange Leek
  • 0.25 Knolle Celeriac
  • 1 bunch Celery leaves
  • 4 piece Cooking pears
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare meat

Thermomix® Setting
60 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place 1 kg of smoked pork shoulder and 1 piece of streaky bacon in the mixing bowl. Add 1000 ml of water and cook for 60 min./100°C/speed 1.

Prepare and add vegetables

Clean 1 kg of swedes and 8 roots, cut into small pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Clean 1 stalk of leek and 0.25 celeriac, cut into small pieces and also place in the mixing bowl. Fill some celery leaves into a disposable tea filter and place in the mixing bowl.

Add and cook more ingredients

60 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place 4 cabbage sausages, 500 g smoked ribs and 4 cooking pears in the mixing bowl and cook for another 60 min./100°C/speed 1.

Seasoning

5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Remove the disposable tea filter with the celery leaves. Season the soup with salt and pepper and simmer for another 5 min./100°C/speed 1 if necessary.
