Description

These savory meat skewers with Asian vegetable rice are an absolute highlight for any occasion! I especially like to make them when things need to be quick, but something special should still come to the table. The combination of tender pork cutlet skewers, marinated in a spicy soy sauce-honey mixture, and the aromatic Asian rice with crunchy vegetables is simply unbeatable. The rice becomes wonderfully fluffy in the Thermomix® and the vegetables retain their crunch. A touch of curry and salted peanuts round off the dish perfectly. Ideal for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends!

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Onion
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 200 g Rice
  • 30 g Salted peanuts
  • 2 tsp Curry
  • 500 ml Vegetable broth
  • 480 g Frozen "Wok Mix Asia Style"
  • 6 piece Minute pork cutlet
  • 4 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp Sambal Oelek
  • 2 tbsp Liquid honey
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Coriander for garnish

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onion

Peel, quarter, and place the onion in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 seconds/speed 5.

Sauté rice

Add 2 tablespoons of oil, the chopped onion, rice, and salted peanuts to the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 minutes/120°C/speed 1.

Add curry and sauté for 1 minute/120°C/speed 1.

Cook rice

Add vegetable broth and cook for 15 minutes/100°C/speed 1.

Add Asian vegetables

Thermomix® Setting

Add Asian vegetables approximately 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time (i.e. after 10 minutes) and cook.

Season rice

Season the Asian rice with salt and pepper and transfer to a bowl.

Prepare marinade

Mix soy sauce, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of oil, sambal oelek, and honey in a bowl.
