Description

Savory herb cookies from the Thermomix® are a vegetarian finger food with flour, margarine, herb mixture and onion powder. In 40 minutes, about 4 servings of the hearty cookies are created. The recipe is ideal as a snack, for parties or as a winter appetizer. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 25 minutes.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 TL Sugar
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 TL Onion powder
  • 2 TL Dried herb mixture
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 100 g Margarine
  • Fresh herbs for decoration

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix dry ingredients

Put 150 g flour, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp onion powder and 2 tsp dried herb mixture into the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/level 4.

Add egg yolk and margarine

Separate the egg, the egg white will be needed later. Add the egg yolk and 100 g of margarine in pieces to the flour mixture in the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min/kneading stage to form a smooth dough.

Shape and prepare dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and form into a ball with your hands. Wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 °C circulating air (top/bottom heat: 200 °C). Sort and finely chop the fresh herbs.

Roll out and cut out dough

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of approx. 0.5 cm. Use a glass or a round cutter to cut out the dough pieces.

Brush and top the dough pieces

Brush the dough pieces with a little egg white and sprinkle with the chopped herbs as desired. To do this, apply the herbs evenly and smooth them out carefully.

Bake herb cookies

Then spread the herb crackers on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until light golden brown.
