Description

This hearty sausage and bean bake is a comforting and flavorful dish perfect for a casual gathering or a cozy weeknight meal. I've been making this for potlucks for years, and it's always a hit! The combination of savory sausage, sweet baked beans, and a touch of chili spice creates a delicious and satisfying flavor profile. The cheddar cheese adds a creamy, melty topping that brings everything together. It's quick to prepare and can easily be customized to your liking. Feel free to add other vegetables or use different types of beans. This dish is best served warm and is great for using up leftover ingredients.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 16 ounce kielbasa sausage, cut into half moons
  • 28 ounce can baked beans
  • 15.5 ounce can chili beans, drained
  • 15.25 ounce can corn kernels, drained
  • 0.5 piece red bell pepper, chopped
  • 0.5 piece onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 8 ounce package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Preparation (3 steps)

Chop vegetables

Add ½ red bell pepper and ½ onion to the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5.

Combine ingredients

In a large bowl, combine 1 (16 ounce) package kielbasa sausage (cut into half moons), 1 (28 ounce) can baked beans, 1 (15.5 ounce) can chili beans (drained), 1 (15.25 ounce) can corn kernels (drained), the chopped bell pepper and onion from the mixing bowl, and 1 teaspoon chili powder. Stir until evenly mixed, then pour into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Add cheese and bake

Sprinkle 1 (8 ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese over the mixture in the baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until the mixture is hot and the cheese has melted, about 25 to 30 minutes.
