Description

This Kritharaki casserole is a wonderfully uncomplicated dish that is perfect for a cozy evening. The small noodles, juicy tomatoes, mild peppers and spicy olives merge into a Mediterranean taste experience. The creamy sheep's cheese provides a pleasant saltiness and the cream-vegetable broth sauce makes everything wonderfully juicy. I love how quickly this casserole is prepared and how well it can be prepared in advance. An absolute must for all casserole fans! It tastes particularly delicious with a fresh salad.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 100 g mild Peppers - Glass
  • 2 piece red Onions
  • 150 g Kritharaki
  • 250 g small Tomatoes
  • 100 g Olives - pitted
  • 200 g Feta
  • 200 g Cream
  • 250 ml Vegetable Stock
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Garlic powder
  • to taste Sweet paprika powder
  • to taste Oregano

Preparation (6 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat.

Prepare peppers and onions

Drain the mild peppers from the jar and cut into small pieces. Peel the red onions and cut into wedges.

Fill casserole dish

Place the Kritharaki in a baking dish. Add tomatoes, peppers, onions and olives. Crumble the sheep's cheese over it and season with sweet paprika powder and oregano.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Put cream and vegetable stock into the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, sweet paprika powder and oregano.

Pour sauce over the casserole

Pour the sauce from the mixing bowl over the remaining ingredients in the casserole dish.

Bake casserole

Bake the Kritharaki casserole in the preheated oven for 30 - 40 minutes until golden brown.
