Description

Prepare some delicious homemade patatas bravas with your Thermomix®! This recipe is perfect to share as an appetizer at a gathering with friends or simply to enjoy a tasty and spicy snack. The brava sauce, made with egg, garlic and spices, gives a unique and special touch to these potatoes. The key is to fry the potatoes until they are golden brown and crispy, and then bathe them with the freshly made sauce. A simple, quick and flavorful dish that everyone will surely love! You can adjust the amount of curry and cumin to customize the level of spiciness.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 500 gr potato
  • 1 piece egg
  • 250 ml sunflower oil
  • 0.5 cucharadita curry
  • 0.5 cucharadita cumin
  • 0.5 cucharadita oregano
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 cucharaditas fried tomato
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation of the brava sauce

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, add 1 egg, 1 clove of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of curry, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano and 1 pinch of salt. Program 30 seconds/Speed 5. With the Thermomix running at Speed 4, gradually add 250 ml of sunflower oil through the lid until you obtain a consistency similar to mayonnaise.

Add the fried tomato

Thermomix® Setting

Add 3 teaspoons of fried tomato to the previous mixture in the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 15 seconds/Speed 4 to integrate the tomato and obtain a homogeneous sauce. Remove the sauce from the bowl and reserve it in the refrigerator to cool.

Preparation of the potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/Varoma/Velocidad 1 Varoma

Peel 500 g of potatoes and cut them into approximately 2 cm cubes. Place the potatoes in the Thermomix basket. Pour 700 ml of water into the bowl. Place the basket with the potatoes inside the bowl. Program 20 minutes/Varoma/Speed 1 to steam the potatoes.

Fry the potatoes

Once steamed, remove the potatoes from the basket and dry them with kitchen paper. Heat plenty of oil in a deep fryer or deep pan. Fry the potatoes in small quantities until they are golden and crispy. Remove the fried potatoes and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Serve the patatas bravas

Place the fried potatoes on a plate and pour the cold brava sauce over them. Serve immediately and enjoy this delicious appetizer.
