Description

These zucchini chips are a tasty and light snack, perfect for a summer aperitif or as a crispy side dish. Rice flour makes them particularly crunchy and also suitable for those following a gluten-free diet. I often prepare them when I have unexpected guests, because they are very quick to make and everyone always likes them! A tip? Serve them with a yogurt and fresh herb sauce for an extra touch. The preparation is simple and quick, ideal for those who have little time but do not want to give up taste. Try them, you won't regret it!

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 2 piece zucchini
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 lolio seed oil
  • 1 q.b. fine salt

Preparation of the zucchini

Trim the zucchini and cut into thin slices. This step is essential to obtain crispy chips. Use a mandoline for a uniform thickness.

Flouring the zucchini

Put the zucchini slices in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of rice flour. Gently mix with your hands to evenly flour all the slices. Make sure each slice is well covered.

Heating the oil

Pour the seed oil into the Thermomix bowl. Heat the oil for 5 Min./170°C/Stufe 1. Check the temperature with a toothpick: if it sizzles, the oil is ready.

Frying the zucchini

5-6 min/338°F/Speed 1 170

Fry the zucchini in small quantities for about 5-6 minutes, moving them continuously with the spatula to ensure even cooking. Use the spatula to remove the chips from the bowl.

Draining and drying

Drain the zucchini chips with a slotted spoon and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Gently dab with more absorbent paper.

Serving

Serve the zucchini chips hot with a pinch of fine salt. Accompany with your favorite sauce.
