Description

This homemade Neapolitan flan is a classic dessert that always triumphs. Its smooth and creamy texture, combined with the sweet taste of caramel, makes it an irresistible treat. Preparing it is easier than it seems, especially with the help of the Thermomix®. I often make it for birthdays and family celebrations, and it's always a success! The key is to use good quality ingredients and respect the cooking and cooling times. You can serve it alone or with fresh fruits. Go ahead and try it, you'll love it!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 can Evaporated milk
  • 1 can Condensed milk
  • 5 piece Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 250 gramos Cream cheese
  • Liquid caramel

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare the liquid caramel

If you use ready-made liquid caramel, skip this step. Otherwise, prepare the caramel in a pan over medium heat until it has a golden color. Pour the caramel into the bottom and sides of a large mold or individual molds.

Mix the flan ingredients

In the Thermomix bowl, add 1 can of evaporated milk (390g), 1 can of condensed milk (390g), 5 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 250 grams of cream cheese. Close the bowl.

Beat the mixture

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Program the Thermomix to beat the mixture for 30 seconds at speed 4 until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Check the flavor and add more vanilla if desired.

Pour the mixture into the mold

Pour the flan mixture carefully over the caramel in the mold or individual molds.

Cook in a water bath

Thermomix® Setting
45 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Place the mold or molds in the Varoma container. Pour 500 ml of water into the Thermomix bowl. Program 45 minutes at Varoma temperature, speed 1 if it is a large mold, or 20 minutes if they are individual molds.

Cool and refrigerate

Once the cooking is finished, carefully remove the Varoma and let the flan cool to room temperature. Then, refrigerate for at least 3 hours so that it is well chilled before unmolding.
