Description

This lasagna is a hearty and satisfying dish that is perfect for a cozy family dinner. I like to make it when I want to prepare something hearty and simple. The minced meat is combined with fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs to create a delicious sauce. The béchamel provides a creamy texture, and the baked cheese makes the dish irresistible. The preparation is a bit more complex, but the result is worth it. You can also prepare the lasagna well in advance and bake it in the oven later. An absolute favorite recipe!

About this recipe

Lasagna, a classic of Italian cuisine, has a firm place in my family. My grandma always prepared it on Sundays, the smell of tomatoes, herbs and cheese filled the whole house. This recipe is a tribute to her culinary art, refined with a few modern touches and the support of the Thermomix®. The secret to a good lasagna lies in the ingredients. The mixed minced meat provides a hearty taste and a pleasant texture. The carrots and celery form the basis for an aromatic sauce, while the ham adds an additional salty note. The meat broth serves as a liquid base and intensifies the flavor. Tomato paste provides the typical red color and a slightly sour note. Parmesan and Gouda are essential for the creamy consistency and the spicy taste. Garlic and chili bring the necessary spiciness to the dish. The preparation with the Thermomix® is very simple. First, the vegetables are chopped, which speeds up the process considerably. Sautéing in the Thermomix® ensures that the flavors are optimally released. I fry the minced meat separately in a pan to create roasted aromas that add depth to the sauce. The béchamel is particularly creamy and lump-free in the Thermomix®. It is important to add the milk slowly and keep an eye on the temperature. If you like it vegetarian, you can replace the minced meat with lentils or soy granules. For a vegan version, you can use vegetable minced meat, a vegan béchamel and vegan cheese. There are no limits to your imagination when it comes to spices. Rosemary, thyme or marjoram go perfectly with lasagna. Lasagna tastes best when it has cooled down a little. This allows the flavors to fully develop. It goes well with a fresh salad with a light vinegar-oil dressing. A glass of red wine rounds off the dish perfectly. The lasagna can be prepared well in advance. You can layer it the day before and then store it in the refrigerator. Before baking, it should reach room temperature. Leftovers can easily be stored in the refrigerator and warmed up the next day. They taste almost even better when they have been infused.
