Description

This lentil stew with chorizo and Asturian black pudding is a traditional Spanish dish that comforts the soul, especially on cold winter days. The combination of lentils, chorizo and black pudding gives it an intense and delicious flavour. It is a very complete and nutritious dish, perfect for a family meal. I prepare it often and it is always a success. It is also very easy to make with the Thermomix®. Go ahead and try it, you will love it! You can accompany it with a good piece of bread to dip in the sauce. Enjoy!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 250 g Lentils
  • 2 piece Asturian chorizos
  • 2 piece Black puddings
  • 2 piece Medium potatoes
  • 2 piece Medium carrots
  • 1 piece Red pepper
  • 1 l Water
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Bay leaf

Preparation (8 steps)

Wash the lentils

Wash 250 g of lentils well under the tap until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the vegetables and sausages

Cut 2 medium potatoes and 2 medium carrots into medium dice. Cut 1 red pepper into smaller dice. Cut 2 Asturian chorizos and 2 black puddings lengthwise in half, then those halves in half and from there cut into medium dice.

Sauté chorizo and black pudding

Thermomix® Setting
7 min/248°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad cuchara 120 Reverse

Add a splash of olive oil to the Thermomix bowl. Add the diced chorizo and black pudding and sauté for 7 Min./120°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed to release their flavour.

Add pepper and sauté

Add the diced red pepper to the bowl and sauté for 5 Min./120°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed.

Incorporate the lentils and sauté

Add the washed lentils to the bowl and sauté for 2 Min./120°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed.

Add water and boil

Thermomix® Setting
30 min/212°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad cuchara 100 Reverse

Add 1 l of water, salt and a bay leaf to the bowl. Program 30 Min./100°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed.

Add potatoes and carrots

20 min/212°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad cuchara 100 Reverse

Add the diced potatoes and carrots to the bowl. Program 20 Min./100°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed.

Rest

Remove the stew from the Thermomix bowl and let it rest for 10 minutes, covering the pot.
