Description

This Lorraine tart without pastry is a simplified and delicious version of the French classic. I love preparing it for a Sunday brunch or a quick weekday dinner. The creamy base, enriched with smoked bacon and melted Gruyère, is simply irresistible. The cherry tomatoes add a touch of freshness and colour. It is a comforting and easy to make dish, perfect for lovers of authentic flavours. The preparation is quick, and baking in the oven gives a golden and crispy texture. A real treat for the whole family!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 100 g Gruyère
  • 100 g Bacon cubes
  • 70 g Flour
  • 25 cl Milk
  • 25 cl Liquid crème fraîche
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 2 piece Egg yolks
  • 1 piece Onion
  • to taste Cherry tomato
  • to taste Nutmeg
  • to taste Salt or fine salt
  • to taste Mill pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Preparation of the onion and bacon cubes

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Cut the onion in half and put it in the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5. Add the bacon cubes and cook for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the quiche mixture

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add the flour, milk, liquid crème fraîche, eggs, egg yolks, salt, pepper and nutmeg to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4.

Assembly of the quiche

Butter and flour a tart tin. Spread the cooked onions and bacon cubes, the halved cherry tomatoes and the grated Gruyère in the tin. Pour the quiche mixture on top.

Baking in the oven

Bake the tart in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45 to 50 minutes.
