Description

Apricot stars are a festive cookie recipe for the Thermomix® with flour, butter, sugar, and egg as the main ingredients. The preparation takes a total of 132 minutes, of which 60 minutes is active work time, and yields about 50 servings. These cookies are ideal as finger food or dessert, especially during the Christmas season. The recipe is perfect for anyone who enjoys baking and wants to prepare a delicious, homemade pastry for family and friends.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 400 g Flour
  • 225 g Butter or margarine
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 1.5 EL Caramel syrup
  • 1 Pä. Vanilla sugar
  • Flour for rolling out
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling
  • 150 g Apricot jam

Prepare the dough

Place flour, butter or margarine, sugar, egg, caramel syrup, and vanilla sugar in the mixing bowl and process with the Patix dough tool for 2 min./kneading setting to form a dough. Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Roll out the dough and cut out stars

Knead the dough again, roll it out thinly to about 5 mm on a lightly floured work surface, and cut out stars. Cut out a small hole in the middle of half of the stars. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Bake

Preheat the oven to 175°C (convection 160°C, gas mark 2). Bake the stars for about 12 minutes.

Let the stars cool

Let the stars cool slightly on a wire rack.

Prepare the apricot jam

Thermomix® Setting

Place apricot jam in the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./50°C/speed 2. Then strain through a sieve.

Decorate the stars

Spread the stars without a hole thinly with apricot jam. Sprinkle the stars with holes with powdered sugar and place on top. Carefully fill the remaining jam into the holes and let it set.
