Description

These marzipan cushions are a festive confectionery from the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are marzipan raw material, butter, sugar and flour. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 75 minutes and yields 20 pieces. Ideal as finger food, dessert or Christmas treat for the whole family.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 200 g Marzipan raw material
  • 125 g Butter
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 250 g Flour
  • 0.5 TL Baking powder
  • 50 g Chopped almonds
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Preparation (10 steps)

Prepare ingredients

Preheat oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Line baking tray with baking paper.

Prepare marzipan

10 sec/Speed 5

Place pieces of marzipan raw material in the mixing bowl and chop for 10 sec/speed 5.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Add butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg and stir for 30 sec/speed 4.

Add flour

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add flour and baking powder and knead for 2 min/kneading stage to a smooth dough.

Fold in almonds

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add chopped almonds and fold in for 15 sec/reverse/speed 2.

Form cushions

Form the dough into about 20 cushions and place on the baking sheet.

Baking

Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Let cool

Let the marzipan cushions cool on a wire rack.

Prepare icing sugar

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 10

Put icing sugar in the mixing bowl and process for 10 sec/speed 10 to fine icing sugar. (Optional, if no ready-made icing sugar is available)

Decorate

Dust the cooled marzipan cushions with icing sugar.
