Description

I love this simple dish! The baked feta with the aromatic tomatoes, onions and olives is a real treat. Perfect as a starter or light main course, especially on warm days. The preparation is super quick and easy, ideal if you need something quick. The feta becomes nice and creamy in the oven and the herbs give it a wonderful note. If you like, you can add some chili for a slight spiciness. A Mediterranean taste experience that simply makes you happy!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 200 g Feta
  • 150 g Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 piece small red Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 10 piece Olives - pitted
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped Herbs - e.g. Rosemary and Thyme

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare Onion and Garlic

Peel and halve a small red onion. Peel a clove of garlic. Put both in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Push down with the spatula.

Prepare Garlic Oil

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 2 tbsp olive oil to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare Feta

Place the feta (200g) in a small baking dish. Halve 150g cherry tomatoes and add to the baking dish together with 10 olives (pitted). Add 1 tbsp chopped herbs (e.g. rosemary and thyme).

Drizzle Feta

Drizzle the tomatoes, olives and herbs with the garlic oil from the mixing bowl.

Bake Feta

Bake the feta in the oven at 180 degrees top and bottom heat for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned.
