Description

These mini chocolate pains are perfect for a delicious breakfast or a tasty snack. The puff pastry, made even softer by cooking in an air fryer, contains a heart of dark chocolate that melts with every bite. The decoration with melted milk and white chocolate adds a touch of elegance and deliciousness. Preparing them is really quick and easy, ideal to surprise your guests or to treat yourself to a little guilty pleasure. Try them, they are irresistible!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 rotolo rectangular puff pastry
  • dark chocolate chips
  • eggs
  • milk
  • melted milk chocolate
  • melted white chocolate

Preparation of the puff pastry

Roll out 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry on the work surface, keeping it in the supplied baking paper. With a sharp knife, divide the dough into five strips about 7-8 cm wide.

Folding the strips

Fold each strip of puff pastry in half lengthwise, obtaining narrower and thicker strips.

Adding the chocolate

Arrange a generous amount of dark chocolate chips _q.s._ on each strip, concentrating them in the center. Press lightly with your fingers to make them stick to the dough and prevent them from escaping during cooking.

Formation of the chocolate pains

Roll each short side of the rectangle towards the center, reaching halfway along the length. Match the two rolled ends to form the classic chocolate pain.

Preparation of the egg and milk mixture

In a bowl, mix _q.s._ eggs with _q.s._ milk. Use the Thermomix to mix the ingredients: 10 Sec./Level 3.

Brushing the chocolate pains

Brush the surface of each chocolate pain with the egg and milk mixture prepared in the Thermomix.

Cooking in an air fryer

Arrange the chocolate pains in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them. Cook at 170 °C for 15 minutes, in oven mode. (This step does not involve the Thermomix).

Melting the chocolate

Once golden brown, let the chocolate pains cool slightly. In the meantime, melt _q.s._ milk chocolate and _q.s._ white chocolate separately in the Thermomix: 3 Min./50°C/Level 2.

Final decoration

Decorate the chocolate pains with melted milk and white chocolate, drizzling them on the surface. Leave to cool completely before serving.
