Diese Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Hot Dogs sind ein herzhafter Genuss, der perfekt für ein schnelles Mittagessen oder einen entspannten Abend ist. Ich mache sie gerne, wenn ich etwas Deftiges brauche, das nicht viel Aufwand erfordert. Das Hähnchen wird mit einer würzigen Mayonnaise-Mischung verfeinert und dann in knusprigen Speck gewickelt. Die Jalapeños sorgen für einen angenehmen Kick, der wunderbar mit der Süße der Barbecue-Sauce harmoniert. Ein tolles Rezept für alle, die es unkompliziert und geschmackvoll mögen! Die Zubereitung ist wirklich einfach und das Ergebnis ist jedes Mal ein voller Erfolg.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 piece vegetable oil cooking spray
  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise, divided, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 12 ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast half
  • kosher salt
  • 4 slice center-cut bacon
  • 2 piece hot dog buns
  • 1 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and sliced, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoon barbecue sauce, or to taste

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the oven and baking sheet

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with foil and spray the foil with vegetable oil cooking spray. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Prepare the mayonnaise mixture

Add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard, freshly ground black pepper to taste, and 1 pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3 until well combined.

Prepare the chicken

Slice the 12 ounce chicken breast in half lengthwise, then slice each piece in half again. Align the thicker end of one piece of chicken with the thinner end of another, forming a consistent thickness that would fit into a hot dog bun. Repeat with remaining two pieces. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Season and coat the chicken

Transfer the chicken to a plate and season with kosher salt to taste. Add the mayonnaise mixture from the mixing bowl to the plate and toss to coat the chicken evenly. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Wrap the chicken with bacon

Re-align the chicken pieces and wrap each chicken "dog" with 2 slices of center-cut bacon, making sure you don't wrap too tightly and that you tuck the ends of the bacon underneath the chicken. Place on the prepared baking sheet. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Bake the chicken dogs

Bake in the center of the preheated oven until the bacon is browned and the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 20 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Assemble the hot dogs

Generously spread hot dog rolls with the remaining 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise and add sliced jalapeno pepper to taste. Place chicken dogs on rolls and top with barbecue sauce to taste. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.
