Description

These spiced candied walnuts are perfect for parties! A delicious gift idea that's easy to prepare with your Thermomix®. Almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts come together in an embrace of sugar and spices that recalls the scent of gingerbread. I prepare them every year for Christmas and they disappear in the blink of an eye! The recipe is very simple and quick, also ideal for those who don't have much experience in the kitchen. The extra touch? A pinch of black pepper for an unexpected contrast. Store them in airtight jars or package them in gift bags for friends and relatives. A sweet thought made with love!

  • 200 g almonds
  • 100 g shelled walnuts
  • 100 g shelled hazelnuts
  • 400 g sugar
  • 6 g ginger powder
  • 6 g cinnamon
  • 1.5 g nutmeg
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 200 ml water

In the Thermomix® bowl, pour 200 g of almonds, 100 g of shelled walnuts, 100 g of shelled hazelnuts, 400 g of sugar, 6 g of ginger powder, 6 g of cinnamon, 1.5 g of nutmeg and 1 pinch of black pepper.

Add 200 ml of water to the bowl. Cook for 8 minutes at 100°C in reverse direction at speed 1, stirring gently with the spatula to promote caramelization.

Cooling and crystallization

Pour the mixture onto a sheet of baking paper and spread it evenly. Leave to cool completely for about 30 minutes, so that the sugar crystallizes and the nuts become crunchy.
