Description

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 piece whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 tsp salt, divided
  • 0.75 tsp ground black pepper, divided
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cup chopped yellow onions
  • 2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 3 clove garlic, chopped
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper

Prepare the Vegetables

Add 3 cups of chopped yellow onions, 2 cups of chopped carrots, and 1 cup of chopped celery to the mixing bowl. Chop for 5 Sec./Stufe 5.

Add ½ cup of butter and 3 cloves of chopped garlic to the mixing bowl with the chopped vegetables. Sauté for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add Flour and Cook

Add 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the mixing bowl. Cook for 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add Broth and Seasoning

Pour 3 cups of chicken broth into the mixing bowl. Add ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 2 teaspoons of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Bring to a boil for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Prepare Chicken for Braising

While the sauce is simmering, season 1 whole chicken (cut into pieces) with 1 teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Place ¾ cup of all-purpose flour in a shallow dish. Dredge chicken in flour. In a large skillet, brown the chicken on all sides over medium-high heat. Set chicken aside.

Braise the Chicken
