Description

This recipe for meat birds with creamy sauce is a hearty main course prepared with the Thermomix®. The beef roulades are first fried in a pan and then cooked in an aromatic sauce in the Thermomix®. Ideal for a hearty lunch or dinner. The preparation time is about 60 minutes and the recipe is designed for 2 servings.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Meat Birds (Beef Roulades, approx. 150 g each)
  • 0.5 piece Onion (approx. 40 g)
  • 0.5 piece Garlic Clove (approx. 3 g)
  • 0.5 tbsp Tomato Puree (approx. 10 g)
  • 0.5 tbsp Frying Butter (approx. 8 g)
  • 0.5 tbsp Flour (approx. 5 g)
  • 250 ml Water
  • 0.5 piece Meat Bouillon Cube (or approx. 5 g Paste)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika (sweet or hot as desired)

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Put half the onion (approx. 40 g) in coarse pieces and half the garlic clove (approx. 3 g) into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add half the tbsp frying butter (approx. 8 g) to the chopped onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add tomato puree and flour

Add half the tbsp tomato puree (approx. 10 g) and half the tbsp flour (approx. 5 g) to the sautéed onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3.

Prepare sauce

Add the water (250 ml), half the meat bouillon cube (or approx. 5 g paste), salt, pepper and paprika (sweet or hot as desired) to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Fry meat

Fry the 2 meat birds (beef roulades, approx. 150 g each → approx. 300 g) in a separate pan with some oil from all sides.

Cook meat birds in sauce

Thermomix® Setting
45 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 212°F Reverse

Add the fried meat birds to the sauce in the mixing bowl and cook for 45 min./100°C/reverse rotation speed 1. Leave the measuring cup on.
